House of Schivas is the perfect setting for intimate weddings. Ceremonies are held in the Castle’s Portrait Gallery either in front of the handsome fireplace or the chapel. The room is panelled in sequoia wood. There is a piano which is available for use. The large windows which provide uninterrupted views of the South Lawn, flood the room with light. A drinks reception can follow for guests within the Castle or gardens whilst photographs are taken. The Portrait Gallery can seat 40 guests.
The beautiful walled garden offers a truly magical setting for an outdoor ceremony. The turrets of the castle can just be seen above the walls of the garden which provide shelter and the beautiful flowers offer splashes of colour most of the year. A drinks reception can be enjoyed here afterwards to celebrate.
Wedding breakfasts can be held in the Portrait Gallery for intimate weddings of 40 either following a ceremony in the same room or on arrival from a different ceremonial venue.
The Castle’s pool house offers a unique indoor room for a wedding breakfast for up to 80 guests. We can accommodate an additional 20 guests in the evening for a dance.
Alternatively, the Walled Garden or South Lawn, offers beautiful settings for marquees and tippees where the whole day from the ceremony to the evening dance can be held for larger weddings of up to 150 guests.
